Ammi’s Circle

Ammi’s Circle is a warm and welcoming weekly gathering that brings women together through creativity, community, and faith. Now running for over two years, it has grown into a meaningful space where skills are shared, friendships are formed, and a strong sense of purpose continues to flourish.

Each Tuesday from 11:00am to 2:00pm, women come together not only to knit and crochet, but to connect and support one another in a relaxed and friendly environment. The circle is open to all abilities, from complete beginners to those with years of experience, creating a space where learning is encouraged and creativity can thrive. From soft, delicate baby garments to beautifully crafted crochet bags and accessories, the work produced reflects both care and craftsmanship.

A key part of Ammi’s Circle is its commitment to giving back. Over the past two years, members have dedicated their time and skills to knitting for the baby unit at Bradford Royal Infirmary, providing comfort to newborns and their families. Their creativity has also extended into fundraising, most notably through their first stall at the Daughters of Eve Conference 2025. The response was incredibly positive, and all proceeds raised were used to fund the building of a water well in Sri Lanka — a lasting form of charity that continues to benefit others.

What makes Ammi’s Circle especially unique is its spiritual foundation. Each session begins with Qur’an recitation, where attendees read verses together, creating a calm and reflective start to the gathering. This shared moment nurtures not only individual faith but also a collective sense of peace and unity within the group.

Ammi’s Circle is more than just a place to knit and crochet. It is a space where creativity meets compassion, where faith is nurtured, and where a community of women come together to make a meaningful difference — both locally and beyond.
