Shabnam Khan was a professional vocalist, and secondary school teacher of Religious Studies and Philosophy. She held a BA Hons and Masters in Philosophy. She has worked as a Programme Officer at the Institute of Ismaili Studies in London and, subsequently, Head of Philosophy and Religious Studies at Bentley Wood High School for Girls. She was the Director of The Halifax Centre for Learning which she established in 2010. She joined MWC as a board member in 2019 and she looked forward to being a part of the positive changes MWC will accomplish.
