With over thirty years of experience working in the charitable and not for profit sector such as domestic violence services in Keighley and the Joseph Rowntree Foundation, Bana Gora has been involved with social policy and community engagement on a local and national level.
Bana founded the Muslim Women's Council in 2009, with a group of like-minded women. Bana's aim is to ensure that Bradford excels at being a vibrant city and believes this is achievable by understanding and responding to the complexity of the problems facing the city, its inhabitants, and by helping to celebrate its strengths.
