Some hotels in Doha have placed QR codes in their rooms introducing Islam in several languages, during the 2022 FIFA World Cup which is held for the first time in the Arab region.
Qatari twitter accounts have published pictures showing the QR code. Once scanned, a website by Qatari Ministry of Endowments (Awqaf) and Islamic Affairs is launched. The website shows an introductory guide to Islam in different languages as well as Arabic learning material in English and French.
