
Shaima Dallali was elected to serve as the National Union of Students of the United Kingdom’ president following a vote at the student body’s annual conference in Liverpool.
Dallali, who is of Sudanese-Tunisian heritage is currently president of City University of London Students’ Union and will take up her position on July 1.
I am immensely proud and humbled to have been elected NUS National President. Access to Education is a right that should be available to everyone regardless of who they are and where they’re from.
Dallali said.
