Time magazine has named two Muslim women in its 2022 list of the 100 Most Influential People in the World.
62-year-old Tanzania’s first female President Samia Suluhu Hassan was named in the list.
“As the first female President in the history of my country, the burden of expectation to deliver gender equality is heavier on my shoulders,” she said in an address to the UN.
The Time list also included 26-year-old Hoda Khamosh, a well-known women’s rights activist, journalist, and campaigner who has launched several public programs to raise awareness of issues related to women’s health.
