A West Philadelphia woman is easing obtaining religiously appropriate (Halal) meals at the grocery store for Muslim American families.
Finding quick meals for her two children who adhered to their religious beliefs while retaining their American heritage was challenging for Lavaughn Jones.
Jones who reverted to Islam in her twenties said:
I'm going to make an easy halal tasty meal for single parents, busy moms.There's a lot of misconceptions. People think that Muslims are just foreigners but no, you have millions of Muslim Americans that were born in America.
Jones' halal meals serve a community of Muslim American families looking for a home-cooked Hala food.
