Chief Executive of Star Academies Hamid Patel has been awarded a knighthood in the Queen’s Birthday Honours List.
Mr Patel, who had been with the Star Academies Trust since it was founded in 2010 as Chief Executive, said he was "very pleased" to receive the award.
This is a tribute for all those who have worked so hard at Star Academies whose care, diligence and passion continue to inspire young people and nurture tomorrow’s leaders.
Star Academies is one of Bradford’s biggest academy chains with clusters in Lancashire, West Yorkshire, Greater Manchester, the West Midlands and East London.
The group has some of the best performing schools in the country and is working hard to improve its results and the quality of teaching in its schools in Bradford.
