A British Muslim charity has set a new global record for the most blood donations in one day, just months after the NHS invited more people to donate.
Who Is Hussain, a social justice nonprofit that collaborated with NHS Blood and Transplant, as well as the Imam Hussain Blood Donation Campaign, one of the country's oldest Muslim blood donation associations and the largest Muslim Blood Donation Project nationally, led the volunteer-run world record attempt in August.
According to NHS Blood and Transplant, one donation can potentially save or improve the lives of up to three individuals, this implies that the British nonprofit's efforts might save or improve the lives of almost 110,000 people.
