Reflections on Sakina (RA) and Hijab

On the 28th April 2017, the Muslim Women's Council held a seminar titled “Reflections on Sakina (RA) and Hijab”. The seminar consisted of two sessions; the first half of the seminar was a session on, the beautiful, witty, and intelligent granddaughter of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), Sakina’s (RA) story. And the second half consisted of an interactive session on hate crime and the hijab. Sessions were led by Yasmin Amin, PhD student at University of Exeter’s Institute of Arab and Islamic Studies, and Nuzhat Ali, Winner of the Northern Writers Award 2015. There were over 100 attendees and this infographic is derived from the evaluation forms that were collected at the event.
